The Seasons of Our Lives

Earlier this week, I was looking through my course library to offer a creative exploration to my connections. I chose a visual journaling course from my Goddess Collection, Demeter and Persephone.

When I chose this course I had not yet viewed the story through the lens of our current world. That is until today.

As we’re getting oriented for a holiday in isolation, I began to resonate with Demeter’s profound loss. A loss so great that she cast the entire world into winter.

We are all experiencing levels of loss. And while the sun may be shining and the days are getting longer, in many ways we have been thrust back into the hibernation of winter.

But this mother and daughter are also Wayshowers and through this myth we can see a path forward.

Demeter teaches us resilience and persistence to see the journey through. She teaches us that everything has a season. She teaches us about impermanence and the importance of savoring the present moment.

Persephone teaches us that while some things may go out of our ordinary site, they are never really gone. She shows us the path into the deeper consciousness of ourselves, and then shows us the way back into ordinary reality. She teaches us about birth, death, and rebirth.

I invite you to register for this visual journaling course which I’m offering free for a limited time. Once you register, you have lifetime access to the materials. Register for the course here.

Then, join us in The Visual Journaler Facebook Group to follow along.

As we all navigate this holiday, be gentle with yourself and others. We are all tender right now.

If you are a healthcare worker, I’m offering Free Coaching to provide you support and someone to talk to.

Take good care,

Terri
